The hotel has a charming ambiance and is conveniently located near major attractions like Balboa Park. The rooms are nicely decorated, although a bit dated. The staff is helpful, but I had a frustrating experience with the time-share sales pitch. Overall, it's a decent option if you can overlook the aggressive marketing tactics.

My stay at the Inn at the Park was wonderful, with a fantastic location near Balboa Park and local attractions. The spacious rooms were clean and had all the amenities I needed. The staff went above and beyond to help us out when we needed medical assistance, which made our stay even more enjoyable. However, the valet parking fee was a bit steep, and the Wi-Fi could be a little spotty on the higher floors.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel, thanks to its close proximity to Balboa Park, which made exploring the area easy and enjoyable. The rooms were wonderfully modern and well-equipped, contributing to a comfortable experience. However, the pressure from the sales pitch associated with the concierge was quite frustrating, overshadowing what could have been a more relaxed atmosphere. Overall, it was a nice place, but the sales tactics were a significant downside.

The one-bedroom unit I stayed in was recently remodeled, with modern fixtures and a spacious layout. It included a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable sitting area, and a large bathroom, making it feel like a home away from home.
Service

While the staff was friendly and greeted us each day, I found the aggressive sales tactics from the concierge off-putting. Despite expressing my lack of interest multiple times, the pressure continued.
Location

The hotel's location was fantastic, right at the edge of Balboa Park, allowing easy access to the park's amenities and nearby restaurants, giving me a great feel of San Diego.
Dining

I didn't have much experience with the dining options at the hotel, aside from breakfast provided during the sales meeting, but it wasn't very appealing.
Facilities

The hotel featured a workout room, a laundry facility, and well-maintained common areas, but the valet-only parking policy was inconvenient at times.

I really enjoyed my stay overall. The hotel is located conveniently close to Balboa Park, making it easy to explore the area. The rooms are beautifully decorated and come with modern amenities, which made my stay quite comfortable. However, the high-pressure sales tactics from staff during my stay were a bit off-putting. While the valet service was helpful, it did come with a cost, which might not suit everyone’s budget.

Rooms

My stay at the Inn at the Park was quite enjoyable overall. The quaint historic charm of the hotel made it special, especially with its proximity to Balboa Park. My room was comfortable with kitchen facilities that enhanced my experience, though there was some noise from the street. The lack of an on-site restaurant was a bit inconvenient, but the nearby dining options made up for it. A minor issue was the timeshare sales pitch that overshadowed some aspects of service.

Rooms
8.0
The room was a small suite featuring a comfy bed and a small kitchen, making it convenient for snacks and meals.
Service

While the valet and front desk staff were friendly and helpful, the persistent timeshare sales presentations detracted from the experience.

Dining
7.0
The breakfast at the local restaurant was enjoyable, but the lack of an on-site dining option was a downside.
Facilities

The rooftop lounge offered great views—though it could use some fire pits for better ambiance at night.
